Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award GE Healthcare a sole-source, one-year contract for full-service preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, software updates, parts, remote troubleshooting, and technical support for GE radiology and imaging systems. Covered equipment includes X-ray, cardiac, nuclear medicine/CT, mammography, workstation, and detector systems identified in the Statement of Work. The requirement is limited to OEM-authorized and OEM-trained personnel because of proprietary diagnostics, software, replacement parts, patient-safety, operability, and warranty considerations. The contractor must comply with VA, federal, and OEM standards; maintain service records; protect PHI and VA-sensitive information; and execute a Business Associate Agreement because of potential access to protected health information. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, not a request for competitive proposals; interested parties may submit capability evidence for the Government's consideration.
