Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires temporary UPS rental services for up to six months, or until a permanent replacement is delivered and operational, followed by the procurement, delivery, installation, startup, commissioning, load testing, and warranty support of one new 80 kVA UPS system. The contractor must verify the existing connected load, remove and disassemble the existing Liebert UPS as necessary, provide a comparable temporary UPS and battery cabinet, maintain the rental equipment, and remove it at the end of the rental period. The permanent system must include a minimum 12-month warranty covering materials, equipment, and workmanship. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, maintenance documentation, safety controls, and cleanup. Required qualifications include electrical licensing by the prime or subcontractor, experience installing or interfacing with three-phase 80 kVA UPS systems, Liebert/Vertiv or similar system familiarity, LOTO procedures, OSHA 10/30 training certifications, NFPA 70E certification, and UPS commissioning capability. The quote must include technical qualifications, past performance for two to three similar projects completed within the past five years, pricing, subcontracting information, and the required limitations-on-subcontracting certification.
