SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to purchase Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. (Siemens Healthineers) equipment and related products under Premier contracts covering cardiovascular imaging, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging. The procurement is being conducted without a formal competitive process under the university's stated statutory authority for consortium purchases. Vendors offering Siemens equipment must be authorized to sell the products under the applicable Premier contract. Vendors proposing clinically equivalent equipment must demonstrate equivalent clinical performance and provide supporting clinical documentation, along with equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial at no cost. The successful contractor must submit current New York State workers' compensation and disability forms.
