Description
The City of Ocala is seeking a qualified Florida-licensed General, Residential, or Building Contractor to demolish and remove a structure and its contents, overgrowth, structural debris, improvements, and junk at the specified property. The contractor must provide all labor and equipment, terminate water and sewer connections, obtain required permits, properly dispose of all removed materials, preserve sidewalks and driveway aprons, address any septic tanks, wells, or fuel tanks encountered, and grade or sod disturbed areas as required. The work must be completed within 60 days after the City-issued Notice to Proceed, during standard weekday working hours. Bidders must have at least three years of demolition rehabilitation experience, maintain at least 30% self-performance, comply with applicable asbestos, OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements, and provide the required insurance coverage. The asbestos survey found no asbestos in the tested materials, but concealed or newly encountered suspect materials must be handled in accordance with applicable regulations. Award will be made to the lowest responsive bidder on a lump-sum basis, including permitting, travel, disposal, and related costs.
