Description
Midland County is soliciting competitive proposals from organizations and groups addressing opioid prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery, substance use disorders, polysubstance use, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Eligible proposals may develop, implement, enhance, or expand evidence-based strategies or promising practices, including naloxone distribution, medication-assisted treatment, recovery support, syringe services, prevention programs, connections to care, services for criminal-justice-involved individuals, and support for pregnant or parenting women and families affected by neonatal abstinence syndrome. The 2027 funding allocation is $100,000 for a 12-month period from January 1 through December 31, 2027. Applicants must submit the completed application, a project director resume or biography, the completed budget template, and supporting materials as applicable. Proposals will be scored on organizational information, project description, population served, supporting data, timeline, scope of work, success measures, sustainability, and budget. Awardees must ensure funds supplement existing funding, comply with opioid-remediation requirements and Exhibit E, and meet with the Opioid Fund Steering Committee at least once during the service agreement.
