The Mississippi Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide supplemental housekeeping services at the State Veterans Home in Oxford, a 125-bed skilled nursing facility. Staffing requirements include three day-shift housekeepers working 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and one evening-shift housekeeper working 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., augmenting the facility’s existing housekeeping workforce. Required duties include cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms, bathrooms, sinks, floors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces; replenishing paper products, soap, and sanitizer; removing trash; changing curtains as needed; completing room-cleaning checklists; and performing other assigned housekeeping duties. Staff must be cross-trained to assist with laundry when needed. The contractor is responsible for employee background checks, fingerprinting, tuberculosis testing, required training, supervision, and compliance with applicable nursing-home and health regulations. The contract is a firm fixed-price agreement for two years beginning October 15, 2026, with one possible one-year renewal.
