Description
The City of Chico is soliciting bids from qualified painting contractors to provide labor, materials, equipment, surface preparation, interior and exterior painting, protective coatings, touch-ups, maintenance painting, paint removal, graffiti removal, emergency response, and related services for City facilities on an on-call basis. Work may involve wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, masonry, and other building surfaces, including lead-containing coatings and corrosion-resistant, waterproofing, and anti-graffiti finishes. Services will be authorized through individual written Work Orders, with no minimum volume guaranteed. Bidders must hold a current California Contractors State License Board C-33 Painting and Decorating license and any licenses or certifications required for lead-related work. The selected contractor must provide product data, samples, and color mock-ups when requested; comply with applicable safety, hazardous-material, prevailing-wage, and labor requirements; and respond to notifications within 24 hours, submit quotes within three business days, and generally begin approved work within five business days. The City intends to award a primary and possible secondary contractor for an initial one-year term with up to four additional one-year extensions.
