Description
Delta College is soliciting construction proposals for installation of a new air-cooled dry fluid cooler serving its chilled-water system. The work includes furnishing and installing the fluid cooler, new six-inch chilled-water supply and return piping, pipe supports, control valves, insulation with weather-resistant aluminum jacketing, instrumentation, controls, and related demolition and connections to existing equipment. The project also includes associated electrical work, including a 480-volt, three-phase feeder, fuses, conduits, low-voltage control conduits, a weatherproof GFCI receptacle, and equipment disconnects. The contractor must provide complete operational systems, permits, testing, startup services, owner training, shop drawings, equipment information, and required warranties. The drawings require pricing for all four listed acceptable fluid-cooler units, each rated at approximately 100 tons and designed for 30% propylene glycol. Performance and labor-and-materials bonds are required at 100% of the contract sum after award.
