Description
The Oregon State Medical Examiner seeks locum tenens forensic pathologists to assist its staff with a growing caseload. The work includes independently handling a variety of cases, triaging cases alongside a state medical examiner, interpreting toxicology, conducting postmortem examinations, and filing autopsy reports. Homicides, pediatric cases, and cases of high medico-legal interest are excluded. The per-diem pathologist will be supervised by the Chief Medical Examiner. Applicants must be board-certified in anatomic and forensic pathology, have at least three years of post-fellowship experience, be able to commit to at least three consecutive days, hold a valid Oregon medical license, and carry professional liability insurance. Compensation is $1,750 per day. Interested applicants are asked to submit a CV.
