Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics seeks boiler plant inspection services for three 250-horsepower, low-pressure, gas- and oil-fired heating boilers. Required work includes Type A internal and external inspections and Type C external inspections under steam pressure, along with operational safety-device checklist testing and written inspection reports. Inspections are scheduled at the Boiler Plant Lead’s discretion during the contract term. In option years 1 and 3, the contractor will also inspect a deaerator/feed water tank, heat recovery tank, condensate tank, and bottom blow tank. Option year 3 additionally includes nondestructive testing, with a certified inspector present. The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options. The solicitation is set aside for certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and the offer must include the required certification and limitations-on-subcontracting certification.
