Description
The National Park Service is soliciting proposals for roof replacement and interior rehabilitation of the Eielson Visitor Center and associated utility building at Denali National Park and Preserve. The work includes replacement of vegetated and modified bituminous roof systems; demolition and removal of selected architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical components; exterior stair and skylight removal; drainage improvements; accessibility and code-compliance work; hydroelectric power-generation upgrades; lighting, fire-suppression, HVAC, plumbing, and other building-system work; and mold remediation. This is a firm-fixed-price construction requirement with an estimated magnitude of $5 million to $10 million and an anticipated 442-calendar-day period of performance. Contractors must provide workforce housing, communications, sanitary facilities, waste management, and logistical support for the remote site. Proposals are evaluated using a best-value tradeoff based on technical factors, project experience, technical and management approaches, construction schedule, past performance, and price. Amendment 0010 extends the proposal deadline to October 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time; offerors must acknowledge the amendment.
