Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting proposals for construction of a new, fully configured, single-story 8,202-square-foot Combat Rescue Helicopter Operational Flight Trainer facility supporting the HH-60W helicopter. The facility will include a simulator bay, briefing and debriefing room, mission planning room, instructors’ and administrative offices, support rooms, toilet facilities, an overhead equipment crane, and a large overhead door. The work includes conventional building construction with a slab-on-grade foundation, insulated cold-weather footings and simulator mat foundation, masonry veneer and metal-panel exterior construction, standing-seam structural metal roofing with snow guards, site clearing, utility relocation, grading, connections to existing base-wide systems, and incidental related work. The simulator bay and associated areas must meet collateral Secret open-storage criteria. The estimated project value is $17 million to $22 million, with an approximately 730-calendar-day performance period and anticipated notice to proceed on March 1, 2027. The procurement is a best-value tradeoff RFP and is set aside exclusively for small businesses.
