Description
The City of Renton is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering and consulting firms for its 2027 Overlay Program. This program will involve asphalt overlay and necessary full rehabilitation of city streets and alleys, including upgrades to curb ramps for PROWAG compliance, signage, and pavement markings. The selected consultant will be responsible for surveying, preliminary engineering, final design, preparation of drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and construction bid documents. The City also reserves the right to retain the selected firm for subsequent right-of-way and construction/negotiation phases. Key services required include surveying, preliminary and final engineering design, preparation of all necessary documentation for construction bids, and public outreach services. Evaluation of SOQs will be based on the project team's experience, project understanding and approach, experience with municipal governments, and the quality and clarity of the submission.
