Description
The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) is requesting qualifications and proposed approach from experienced proposers to provide Heavy Civil General Contractor/Construction Manager (HC GC/CM) services for the W200 Duwamish River Crossing & Aerial Gateway project. The project includes construction of a cable stayed bridge spanning the west navigable channel of the Duwamish River, long span and regular span elevated guideway installations through the SODO neighborhood, and retained cut guideway installation at an environmentally critical steep slope area near the existing West Seattle Bridge. Major subcontracting opportunities include water and sewer line construction, power and communication line construction, site preparation, highway/street/bridge construction, poured concrete foundation and structure contractors, other heavy civil engineering, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, structural steel and precast concrete, engineering services, and environmental consulting. Funding may include federal and state funds from the Federal Transit Administration.
