The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority is soliciting sealed general bids for repairs to the transformer vaults at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. The work includes structural concrete repairs to the main vault, air intake and exhaust vaults, exterior surfaces and access slabs; sidewalk, asphalt, and grating repairs; joint sealing; waterproofing; protective coatings; temporary fencing; and related miscellaneous work. Filed sub-bids are also requested for miscellaneous and ornamental iron, waterproofing, damp-proofing and caulking, and plumbing. General bidders must provide a Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance Certificate of Eligibility for General Building Construction and a Contractor Qualification Update Statement. Sub-bidders must provide the applicable Certificate of Eligibility and Sub-contractor Qualification Update Statement. Bids require a 5% bid deposit; the successful general bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds. Contract documents will be available through the Authority's website beginning September 23, 2026.
