Description
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) requires a full replacement of the existing roof system for the P-100 (West Lake) house. This includes removal and disposal of old roofing materials and installation of a new system covering approximately 1,875 square feet. The scope of work involves removing shingles, roofing materials, gutters, leaders, and flashing. It also includes inspecting and replacing unserviceable roof decking, with an allowance for up to 10 sheets of 3/4-inch CDX plywood replacement. A new Grace Ice and Water Shield will be installed over the prepared roof deck. Additionally, any rotten fascia will be replaced and wrapped with aluminum, and new aluminum drip edge will be installed around the perimeter. The project also entails replacing a waste vent, an exhaust vent, and all step/chimney flashing around two chimneys. The new roof will feature GAF UHD shingles in Barkwood color, installed with 6 nails per shingle, along with GAF starter shingles, ridge vent, and cap. Finally, new seamless 6-inch gutters and leaders in brown will be installed on the front and rear of the house.
