Description
The Somerville Public School District, located in Somerset County, New Jersey, is soliciting bids for the replacement of the fire pump system at Van Derveer Elementary School. The project requires a single overall contract and bidders must be classified under DPMC classifications C032 or C042. Bid documents are available electronically from the architect's website or as hard copies for a fee. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Somerville Public School District Administration Office. All requests for information must be submitted in writing to the architect. Sealed bids are due by Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. to the Somerville Public School District Administration office. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check for 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000) and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. The successful bidder will be required to provide a NJ Statutory Performance Bond and a NJ Statutory Payment Bond. Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and possess a current certificate. Compliance with New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act and other relevant statutes is required.
