Description
New York City Transit (NYCT) is soliciting bids for comprehensive repairs and upgrades to fan plant components across thirty-three locations on seven subway lines. The scope of work includes decommissioning and disposing of existing Motorized Control Cabinets (MCCs) and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit. New MCCs, Supervisory Control Cabinets (SCCs), and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit will be installed, tested, and commissioned. Additionally, the project involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of new Data Cabinets, Field Distribution Panels (FDPs), Alternative Field Distribution Panels (AFDPs), and/or network switches. New fiber optic cabling will be installed between SCCs, new telecommunications equipment, and communication rooms. The contract also requires vendors to perform asbestos surveys and abate any identified asbestos-containing material (ACM). This is an A+B Bidding Contract. New York City Transit is offering an Enhanced Utilization Credit Initiative (EUCI) in partnership with Empire State Development, providing an additional 50% credit toward the utilization of EUCI-eligible firms. Vendors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and possess a NYCT Bidder/Supplier number obtained from www.mymta.info/vendor.
