Description
The City of Excelsior is soliciting bids for the construction and interior renovation of approximately 5,500 square feet on the third floor of the historic building at 261 School Avenue. The renovated space will accommodate municipal offices, meeting rooms, and public Council Chambers. The scope includes selective demolition; cold-formed metal framing, drywall, and demountable wall systems; floor finishes and encapsulation of existing asbestos flooring; millwork; a custom Council Dais, speaker podium, and feature conference tables; design-build fire suppression meeting NFPA 13; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work; lighting; code-required signage; an exterior illuminated building sign allowance; and project alternates. A signed Responsible Contractor Verification Form must accompany each bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds before contract execution.
