Description
The City of Golden Valley is soliciting proposals for the Wayzata Boulevard Retaining Wall Replacement Project. The project involves replacing four retaining walls south of I-394 and east of TH-100, with a combined length of approximately 355 feet and heights ranging from 1 to 5 feet. The selected consultant will provide project management, topographic surveying, preliminary and final design, geotechnical investigation and reporting, utility coordination, permitting, bidding support, traffic control plans, pedestrian detour planning, construction observation whenever the contractor is on site, and as-built drawings. The City prefers LeSueur County Limestone mega block or an approved equal; consultants should assume soil conditions are completely unknown and may propose the geotechnical investigation scope. Two temporary construction easements should be included as an optional service. The City estimates construction costs at $150,000 and targets design during winter 2026–2027, bidding in March, and construction in spring or summer 2027.
