Description
Iowa State University's Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) seeks third-party resources to collaborate with CIRAS staff on market research and decision-support engagements for Iowa companies. Work may include primary and secondary research, customer and market interviews, competitive intelligence and benchmarking, market sizing, segmentation, feasibility analysis, and pro forma or scenario modeling, with practical recommendations and support for next steps. For the evaluation scenario, the supplier will assess a manufacturer's potential new product line or adjacent market. The work includes reviewing client information, conducting 10 interviews, researching and benchmarking five competitors or alternatives, analyzing market opportunity and customer segments, and delivering a concise report or presentation. The engagement also includes a virtual kickoff, a project-conclusion presentation and discussion, and primarily virtual delivery; the conclusion presentation is assumed to be onsite at the client's Iowa location. The scenario is to be completed within 12 weeks of kickoff and receipt of needed client information. The response must include a proposed approach, team, schedule, effort allocation, and detailed pricing, including the evaluated scenario price, category breakdown, hourly rates, optional activities, and other pricing terms. The solicitation also requires a company overview, technical response, past-performance information, pricing details, and acknowledgment of the CIRAS standards and scope of work.
