Description
The project will rehabilitate an existing, permanently decommissioned water tower as a landmark. Work includes containment and removal of the existing lead-based exterior coating, followed by application of a new coating system matching the tower's existing colors, lettering, and appearance. No interior tower work is planned. Additional work includes replacing access ladders and safety climb systems, replacing the interior access hatch, removing the overflow pipe and obsolete antenna equipment, and completing miscellaneous work needed for the project. Work must begin after written notice to proceed, no later than April 15, 2027, and be completed by September 30, 2027. The successful bidder must provide performance, payment, and maintenance bonding equal to 100% of the contract price; the bid security amount is specified in the Instructions to Bidders but is not stated in the available posting.
