Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor for a firm-fixed-price commercial construction project to replace existing Mitsubishi 2033C uninterruptible power supply systems at its Bangor and Lewiston outpatient clinics. The contractor must procure and install two new 20 kVA, 208V, three-phase UPS units with valve-regulated lead-acid batteries; perform associated electrical work, including new wiring and breakers if required; complete startup and commissioning after hours or on weekends; remove and properly dispose of the existing units and electrical materials; obtain electrical renovation permits; provide disposal receipts; and provide a minimum one-year warranty. The quotation must include pricing for CLIN 0001, a technical approach addressing construction means and methods, phasing, schedule, safety, quality control, facility protection, and coordination with VA operations; recent relevant construction experience; qualifications of the proposed superintendent and key personnel; acknowledgment of amendments; SAM registration information; and any exceptions or assumptions. The project has a 90-calendar-day performance period after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and includes extensive safety, infection-control, submittal, testing, training, and closeout requirements.
