Description
The City of Bangor Department of Public Works is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of one new, current-production trailer-mounted air compressor. The unit must provide at least 185 CFM free air delivery at 100-125 PSI, use an oil-injected rotary screw air end, support continuous-duty municipal and construction operations, and include a diesel engine meeting current EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards. Required features include electric start, engine block heater, hour meter, diagnostic and warning indicators, automatic shutdown protection, weather-resistant controls, a sound-attenuated lockable enclosure, and a DOT-approved highway trailer with appropriate hitch, brakes, lighting, safety equipment, tires, and transport dimensions. The equipment must be inspected, serviced, and ready for use upon delivery. The bid must include the City's Bid Form and pricing inclusive of delivery and all miscellaneous charges. Bidders must identify any exceptions to the specifications on a separate page titled "Exceptions" and provide supporting literature for any approved-equal product. A minimum one-year full manufacturer warranty, applicable engine and air-end warranties, and detailed service and support contact information are required; local service support within 50 miles of Bangor is preferred. Optional pricing may be provided for an integrated aftercooler, air hose reel or storage rack, built-in toolbox, and tow-bar-mounted fire-extinguisher holder.
