Description
The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is soliciting sealed bids for Phase 1 rehabilitation of track and turnouts on the Alcoa/Arconic property. The work includes removing and installing cross ties and switch ties, installing rail anchors, gauging track, placing stone ballast, and raising, lining, and surfacing track and turnouts. The project is funded in part by the New York State Department of Transportation and must comply with applicable funding-agency requirements, inspections, audits, and New York State prevailing-wage requirements. The work must be substantially completed by May 31, 2027. A 5% bid security is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor and material payment bonds. The solicitation establishes 0% DBE, MBE, WBE, and SDVOB utilization goals.
