Description
This electrical construction solicitation covers building energy-efficiency improvements at a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation facility. The work includes replacement of HVAC equipment with water-source heat pumps, installation and connection of geothermal heat-pump loop infrastructure and a dedicated outdoor-air system, ductwork and piping modifications, equipment removal and disposal, controls integration, balancing, insulation, condensate systems, and temporary heating provisions. The building will remain occupied and operational during construction, requiring phased work and coordinated shutdowns. The electrical scope includes demolition and replacement of distribution equipment, new panels, underground duct banks, generators, temporary power, lighting and lighting controls, fire-alarm and equipment connections, building-management-system interfaces, and commissioning. The documents also include a solar photovoltaic array with inverters, switchgear, cabling, grounding, labeling, and related site work, along with civil, structural, restoration, erosion-control, and construction-coordination requirements.
