Description
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is soliciting bids for inventory stock envelopes used in high-volume automated mailing and insertion operations. The supplier must manufacture, furnish, package, and deliver new envelopes meeting SMUD’s specifications for size, paper stock, flap style, windows, adhesive performance, printing, artwork placement, and automated handling. Requirements include SMUD-approved two-color artwork, lithographic or offset printing where specified, pre-print proofs, finished samples, and packaging in boxes of 500 envelopes with five boxes per case. The contract is expected to support estimated requirements over five years, with releases issued for quantities SMUD needs and no guaranteed purchase beyond identified reserve quantities. Bidders must provide complete pricing and technical information, identify manufacturing locations and country of manufacture, demonstrate at least five years of similar envelope manufacturing or supply experience, provide five customer references, and submit quality-control procedures. Delivery is generally required within 30 days after receipt of order, and the selected supplier must comply with SMUD’s shipping, labeling, inspection, insurance, and quality-assurance requirements.
