Description
The Rhode Island School for the Deaf is establishing a qualified vendor list of staffing and temporary nursing agencies to provide substitute registered nurses. Nurses may be needed for planned absences, field trips, and short-notice sick calls lasting one to two days, and must be able to support students with needs including diabetes care, tube feeding, and medication administration. Vendors must provide vetted RNs holding Rhode Island nursing licenses and possessing required certifications, licenses, and background checks. Vendors must demonstrate the ability to respond with little notice and provide nurses who can work in a fast-paced school environment. Priority may be given to vendors able to provide RNs fluent in American Sign Language. Proposals are evaluated on a pass/fail basis using references, RN availability, certifications and licenses, responsiveness, pace, and language capability.
