Description
The City of West Des Moines is soliciting proposals from interested parties to lease approximately 400 square feet of first-floor office/retail space at 217 5th Street, Suite 102. The proposed business use must be compatible with the character, activity, and surrounding businesses of the Valley Junction area and must be approved by the City. Applicants must complete the Proposal Form and provide their business information, proposed use, products or services, operating schedule, monthly rent offer, preferred lease commencement date, proposed improvements or signage, utility and service needs, and any requested exceptions to the RFP or lease terms. The initial lease term is two years from a mutually agreed-upon commencement date, with automatic one-year renewals unless terminated under the lease. The selected tenant will be responsible for specified maintenance, services, and insurance obligations, including commercial general liability, property, workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, and umbrella coverage.
