Description
Louisville Metro Government, through Louisville Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified multidisciplinary consultant team to plan and design the comprehensive renewal of Stansbury Park. The scope includes existing-conditions investigations, program validation, concept alternatives, a preferred site plan, design development, construction documents, permitting and agency coordination, cost estimating, phasing, risk management, and final documentation. The project must balance active recreation, accessibility, safety, operations, maintenance, ecological function, and neighborhood connectivity while respecting the park’s historic landscape character and applying Olmsted planning and design principles. Preliminary considerations include two lighted all-weather turf fields, restrooms, a pavilion, a sport court, an inclusive playground, walking paths, tree preservation, pedestrian improvements, parking evaluation, lighting, utilities, stormwater management, and security. Community engagement is excluded from the contract; existing engagement findings will be provided. Proposals are evaluated on relevant firm and team experience, schedule and coordination, Olmsted expertise, and project fee.
