Description
Louisville Metro Government is soliciting bid proposals from businesses seeking non-exclusive franchises to erect, install, or maintain communications facilities within Louisville Metro rights of way. Proposed systems may include small-cell antennas, aerial or underground fiber, and ground-level elements, with projects organized by Metro Council district. Applicants must submit a signed communications franchise application, a proposed system detail describing the project, components, installation methods, phasing, and communications services, PSC and FCC certificates of authority or signed waivers, required insurance policies and certificates, a $1,000,000 franchise bond, and a $2,500 non-refundable application fee. The franchise application and supporting materials must be submitted through the Louisville Metro procurement portal; the application fee must also be delivered to the Louisville Metro Purchasing Department by the submission deadline.
