Description
The City of Covington is soliciting proposals for recurring janitorial services at multiple City facilities. The contractor must furnish all labor, cleaning supplies, and industrial cleaning equipment, while the City provides consumable items such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, and trash-can liners. Services include daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed cleaning of offices, carpets, hard floors, restrooms, public areas, break rooms, windows, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces, along with special-event cleaning and prompt correction of deficiencies. The scope covers City Hall, Court Services, the Welcome Center, the airport, Police Department, 911 Center, public restrooms, Utility Center, and two Street Department locations. Addendum 1 clarifies that each proposal must include pricing for every building identified in the solicitation; vendors may not bid on selected buildings or individual buildings. The contractor must provide a Georgia business license, insurance documentation, five current-customer references, employee criminal background checks, and completed affidavits and certifications. The contract term is 12 months with three additional one-year renewal options by mutual agreement. The contractor must identify proposed subcontractors, provide a 24-hour emergency telephone number, and comply with specified safety, security, insurance, and background-check requirements.
