Description
The City of Omaha is seeking a contractor for a park renovation at Lake James Park. Work includes removing and replacing playground equipment and surfacing; installing poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing and playground drainage; replacing benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, and bicycle racks; replacing sections of concrete walk and the basketball court and goals; and fine grading and seeding. The project is a single-prime, lump-sum construction contract, with a separate unit-price line for concrete pavement removal and replacement. The specifications identify owner-furnished musical play equipment for installation, and approved-equivalent products are identified in the addenda. The bid requires a 5% bid security when the total bid is $50,000 or more, with a copy uploaded with the electronic response and the original delivered to the City Clerk within seven calendar days after closing. A Certificate of Insurance, Responsible Contractor Compliance Form, Employee Classification Act affidavit, Certificate of Compliance, and SEB Participation Disclosure Form are also required with the bid. The project reserves 10% of the total bid amount for eligible City-certified Small and Emerging Small Business participants. A performance bond, payment bond, and warranty bond, each for at least 100% of the contract price, are required after award.
