Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to repair and repaint four interior stairwells in Building 18. The work includes lead-safe surface preparation; encapsulation of lead-based paint on walls, hard ceilings, banisters, door frames, and other painted surfaces; texture matching; application of primer and Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 topcoat; daily cleanup; hazardous-waste disposal at a certified off-base facility; and quality assurance. The contractor must remove two existing 4-foot-by-2-foot fluorescent fixtures in stairwells 3 and 4 and supply and install one new 4-foot-by-2-foot LED fixture in each of those stairwells. Work must comply with applicable EPA, OSHA, and federal, state, and local requirements, and lead-based-paint work must be performed by certified personnel. Proposals must include a technical approach, detailed pricing breakdown, company point-of-contact information, current SAM representations and certifications, similar-project experience with descriptions, clients, locations, and photos, product cut sheets, and a project schedule. The estimated project magnitude is $25,000 to $100,000; performance must begin within 15 calendar days after award and be completed within 90 calendar days after award.
