Description
The University of New Mexico Hospital seeks a qualified carrier to provide individual (specific) stop-loss coverage for its self-funded medical and pharmacy plan. Proposals may quote deductibles of $525,000, $550,000, $600,000, and $1,000,000, and may offer paid, 36/12, and/or 24/12 contract bases. Coverage must mirror the plan documents for eligibility and benefits, include claims run-in from the prior carrier, and address the hospital’s proprietary network and reimbursement arrangements. Offerors must provide firm pricing using data through September, disclose any lasers and other underwriting conditions, and describe claims administration, reimbursement, renewal terms, and available no-new-laser and rate-guarantee options. The evaluation considers organizational experience, technical approach, and cost. The cost sheet requests premium rates by employee coverage tier and must be returned in Excel format; an offeror may instead submit a comparable cost format.
