Description
The City of New Smyrna Beach is seeking a qualified insurance consulting firm to review its allocation of insurance assets, premiums, and coverage needs; analyze liability, property, workers’ compensation, ancillary coverage, and overall municipal risk; and identify coverage gaps and improvement opportunities. The consultant will also provide risk-management expertise, including insurance studies, risk analysis, claims and loss-control services, regulatory and legal assistance, safety-program support, loss trending, asset-management review, and guidance regarding Florida municipal insurance pools and trusts. The selected consultant will assist with developing and administering competitive insurance solicitations, reviewing plan documents and proposed amendments, evaluating carrier and coverage proposals, supporting negotiations, comparing costs and coverage, presenting findings and recommendations to City staff and the City Commission, and developing annual insurance premium allocations. Responses are limited to 30 pages and must include an executive summary, qualifications and experience, prior experience and references, capacity and resources, deliverables and timeframe, a fee proposal, and the required acceptance statements and City forms. The contract is anticipated to run for three years, with two optional one-year renewals.
