Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service is soliciting one PowerEX STD0503HP 460-volt, three-phase duplex oil-free rotary scroll air compressor, or an equal product meeting the stated technical requirements. The system must use two independently operating 5-horsepower compressor heads, provide more than 20 SCFM at a minimum 145 PSIG supply pressure, include an integrated horizontal storage tank of at least 80 gallons, and support 60 Hz, 460-volt, three-phase electrical service. Required features also include duplex alternation controls, an integrated automatic tank drain, approximately 75 dBA or lower operation, and compatibility with the existing laboratory compressed-air system. The compressor will support high-pressure laboratory air, nitrogen generation, and specialized equipment at the Forest Products Laboratory. The contractor must provide detailed product specifications and a completed salient-characteristics checklist; installation, service, and maintenance will be performed by Forest Products Laboratory personnel. The acquisition is a total small-business set-aside and is expected to result in a firm-fixed-price contract.
