Description
Ontario-Montclair School District is soliciting a licensed general contractor for the Lehigh Elementary School Portable Concrete Ramp Project, Bid No. C-267-425, Project AH18. The work includes demolition and replacement of the existing ramp and related site improvements, including a new accessible concrete ramp and landings, galvanized steel handrails, regrading, and adjacent asphalt and concrete paving. Work must comply with applicable ADA/CBC accessibility requirements and the plans, specifications, and Addendum 2 clarification concerning the ramp footing detail. The contractor must provide site logistics, temporary fencing and gates, traffic and dust control, safety measures, portable sanitary facilities, debris removal, cleanup, utility locating, excavation, soil preparation, compaction, concrete and asphalt work, supervision, and materials. A $10,000 allowance is included in the contract documents. The successful bidder must hold a California B contractor license, comply with prevailing-wage and public-works registration requirements, and provide 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation, a 10% bid security, and separate performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract amount. The stated contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with concrete work identified for completion by January 2, 2027.
