Description
The City of Phoenix is soliciting bids for design-bid-build construction of a new approximately 18,000-square-foot, two-story Fire Station No. 7. The facility will include four apparatus bays, at least 16 dormitories, a whole-station generator, an above-ground diesel fuel island, kitchen, dining area, day room, restrooms, exercise space, fire protection and alarm systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, communications infrastructure, and firehouse slide poles. The work also includes site development, parking, hardscape, landscaping, irrigation, security lighting, utilities, grading, drainage, paving, and related improvements. The anticipated construction cost is approximately $12,000,000. The solicitation establishes a 13% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal, requires a 10% bid guarantee, and requires performance and labor-and-material bonds each equal to the full contract amount after award. The base contract completion period is 450 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
