Description
The project replaces the existing water-to-water ground-source heat pump system at the Sproul State Forest Office. Work includes demolition of existing water-to-water heat pumps, interior condenser-water and hydronic piping except specified portions, variable air-volume units, the variable-air-volume air-handling unit, associated HVAC controls, and related components. The existing closed-loop ground-source well field and associated piping will be reused. New water-to-air heat pumps connected to the existing ductwork and a water-to-water heat pump connected to the existing radiant slab heating system will be installed, along with replacement circulating pumps, an energy recovery ventilator, HVAC controls, testing, adjusting, and balancing. The supporting electrical scope includes panelboard modifications, wire and conduit installation, a lead/lag pump controller, disconnect switches, and connections among the HVAC controls, pumps, and pump controller. Related demolition and reconstruction or reinstallation of walls and ceilings is included. The opportunity requires Pennsylvania Department of General Services Small Business Certification and has an engineer's estimate of $35,000 to $45,000. The work is associated with Contract No. FDC-010-104266.4.
