Description
Capital Region Water is soliciting unit-price bids for Contract No. 2026-12, General Construction, for the 2027 Sewer System Improvements Project. The work includes installation or replacement of 17 sewer manholes; 8- to 36-inch sanitary sewer pipe; water main replacement or relocation; water service line replacement; fire hydrant replacement; storm sewer inlet replacement; bypass pumping; excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, testing, disinfection, traffic control, erosion and sedimentation controls, and surface restoration including asphalt, concrete, curb, sidewalk, and turf restoration. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing, documentation, and coordination required by the Contract Documents. The project is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, public-works employment verification, Pennsylvania steel-origin requirements, and Capital Region Water's MBE/WBE/DBE participation program. Required bonds include 10% bid security and 100% performance and payment bonds for the successful bidder. The contract requires substantial completion by September 30, 2027, and readiness for final payment by October 30, 2027.
