Description
This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is for the UNC Chapel Hill New Residence Hall project, seeking licensed contractors for demolition and early site work packages. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, for the Demolition Package (02b), and until 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2026, for Early Site Work Packages (03a, 04a, 26a, 031a, 32d, 32f, 33a, 32b). Bids will be publicly opened at the Giles Horney Building - Room 100A (Magnolia Room), located at 103 Airport Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. All minority firms are encouraged to submit bids. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM in Cobb Residence Hall, Room 024 (Basement), located at 110 Country Club Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. The last day for questions regarding the Demolition package is June 25, 2026, and for the Early Site Work packages is June 30, 2026. Prequalification forms are due by June 19, 2026. Bids can be submitted via mail to LeChase Construction, 320 Roney St, Suite 100, Durham NC, 27701, with mailed bids needing to be received by 10:00 AM on July 2, 2026 (Demolition) or July 9, 2026 (Early Site Work). Alternatively, bids can be hand-delivered to the bid opening location prior to 1:00 PM on the respective bid days. No bids will be accepted after 1:00 PM on the bid submission deadlines.
