Description
The City of Raleigh is soliciting bids for the installation of water transmission mains along Poole Road and Martin Pond Road. The project includes the installation and tie-in of approximately 2,140 linear feet of 30-inch ductile iron restrained joint water pipeline and approximately 1,410 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron restrained joint water pipeline, both including fire hydrants and other appurtenances. Additionally, the project involves one 8-inch crossing of an existing water main, to be installed via jack and bore method with a fire hydrant assembly. It also includes the demolition of an existing 8-inch Pressure Reducing Valve and its replacement with a 12-inch DIP on Marshburn Road. Bidding documents can be examined online and hard copies are available for a $500 non-refundable fee. Bidders must be licensed to perform the work in North Carolina. A bid security of five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required. The City of Raleigh encourages participation from certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), with a goal to subcontract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000 or with $100,000 or more in state funding.
