Description
The City of Lubbock is seeking a qualified contractor to provide sludge handling and disposal services for its wastewater treatment facility. This includes the transportation and disposal of dewatered sludge, grit, and screenings. The services are required on an ongoing basis to support routine operations as well as potential larger projects. The contractor will be responsible for hauling the sludge from the Southeast Water Reclamation Plant to a TCEQ-permitted solid waste landfill or an approved third-party processing facility. The contract is for an initial one-year term with the option for four additional one-year extensions. The contractor must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and must comply with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding sludge disposal. This includes adherence to TCEQ requirements outlined in 30 TAC Chapter 312 and U.S. EPA 40 CFR Part 503.
