Description
The U.S. Army is seeking industry information on the capability to furnish, crew, operate, and maintain up to three U.S.-flagged vessels for transportation and mission support of Modular Open System Architecture Instrumentation Containers during broad-ocean-area test missions. Vessels must support cargo receipt, stowage, carriage, delivery, offload, and, when tasked, station-keeping or maneuvering as a maritime platform for telemetry and flight-safety operations. The draft requirements include Jones Act and U.S.-flag compliance, U.S. crews, 200- to 400-foot length, Sea State 5 capability, 10- to 12-knot cruising speed, DP1 or higher, a clear deck of at least 36 by 120 feet, 150 short tons of deck capacity, redundant 90 kW deck power, container-securing systems, cranes, medical support, telemedicine, and applicable maritime safety and environmental certifications. The RFI requests company information, business size and designation, capability details, up to three examples of similar federal work, teaming information, and other technical or commercial recommendations.
