Description
The California Department of Water Resources is soliciting boat portage services for the Temporary Barriers Project. The contractor will trailer V-hull boats up to 25 feet long and 7,000 pounds across rock barriers at Old River near Tracy and Grant Line Canal in San Joaquin County. The contractor must provide two 3/4-ton vehicles with Class 5 hitches, two universal trailers, and two operators, with services provided during specified operating hours from approximately May 15 through November 21 each year. Services include boat launching and receiving, vessel logging, accident and issue reporting, site security, and end-of-season service reports. Bidders must demonstrate boat-trailering experience, provide three references from the previous five years, and submit proof of a current California business license, Class C California driver's licenses and California Boater Cards for all personnel, and the required equipment. The solicitation has a three-year anticipated term with two additional one-year renewal options and will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder meeting the specifications.
