Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police requires a contractor to mobilize personnel, a support vessel, ROVs, lifting and rigging systems, and related equipment to inspect and recover a sunken vessel located near Roberts Bank in the Strait of Georgia. The work includes underwater assessment at depths exceeding 150 metres, rigging and lifting an approximately 30- to 40-foot vessel weighing 7,000 to 10,000 pounds, stabilizing it to preserve potential evidence and human remains, transporting it to an RCMP-designated location within an estimated 120 kilometres of Roberts Bank, offloading it, and assisting with investigative examination. The contractor must provide technical substantiation, at least one similar completed project from the preceding five years, suitable recovery equipment and ROV specifications, a proposed ROV pilot with qualifying experience and resume, and a schedule demonstrating completion by November 30, 2026. Deliverables include risk assessments, video and photographic documentation, and a final written recovery report. The procurement is open only to Canadian suppliers, and the responsive proposal with the lowest evaluated price will be selected. The contract period is two months from contract award, with up to three compensable standby days.
