Description
The Greater Rockford Airport Authority is soliciting proposals for a complete replacement entrance monument sign at Chicago Rockford International Airport. The scope includes design, engineering, fabrication, materials, transportation, installation, labor, equipment, supervision, and all incidental work necessary for a complete and operational sign prominently displaying “RFD.” Proposed designs may vary in architecture, materials, configuration, and construction methods, but must satisfy requirements for visibility, durability, aesthetics, safety, weather resistance, low maintenance, and coordination with existing airport facilities. Proposals should include dimensions, materials, colors and finishes, lettering and graphics, illumination and electrical details, structural and foundation/anchorage details, product data, warranty information, and an installation schedule. The base project has a stated budget target of $90,000, excluding demolition of the existing structure and landscaping, which may be priced as separate alternates. A minimum of five years’ experience designing and installing monument signs is requested, along with three references for similar services. Installation is required, prevailing wage applies, insurance is required, and a performance bond is not required.
