Description
The City of Rockford Water Division is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of Lead Service Line Replacement Phase 11E, Bid No. 926-W-084. The work includes replacing existing lead water service lines from the water main to the right-of-way on the public side and from the right-of-way line to the meter connection point on the private side. Bids will be submitted on a unit-price basis up to contract amounts determined upon award. The project is expected to receive partial funding through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Public Water Supply Loan Program and is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements, Illinois public-works employment laws, Build America, Buy America requirements, disadvantaged-business-enterprise affirmative-effort requirements, and applicable equal-employment and fair-employment provisions. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required, and bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
