Description
The City of Rockford Police Department Bomb Squad is soliciting proposals for one new, current-production remotely operated bomb-disposal robot. The complete system must include all required equipment, accessories, software, batteries, chargers, communications equipment, tools, documentation, training, warranty, maintenance, and technical support necessary for a fully operational law-enforcement and public-safety system. Minimum requirements include wireless remote operation with a range of at least 200 yards, a 75-pound lifting capacity, a maximum width suitable for a 30-inch doorway, at least six hours of battery life, a reach height of at least 60 inches, total weight under 200 pounds, an at-least-eight-inch gripper, stair-climbing capability on 45-degree stairs, tool mounts for a PAN disruptor, X-ray equipment, and remote explosives firing, low-light LED capability, two-way audio, and front-drive, rear-drive, claw/tool, and mast cameras. The vendor must provide delivery, installation, operator training by a company representative, printed and electronic documentation, and at least a one-year comprehensive warranty, along with maintenance, repair, parts, technical support, and software or firmware support as applicable.
